Background

Ms. Feenstra has been with the firm since November of 1996, after having spent some time doing plaintiffs’ work. She practices primarily in the defense of workers’ compensation on behalf of employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. In addition to workers’ compensation defense, Ms. Feenstra practices in various aspects of insurance defense and subrogation. She is married and has two children. As a family, they enjoy Sunday football games, traveling, and attending their children’s activities.

Publications

Ms. Feenstra was the co-chair of the 2011 and 2014 Workers’ Compensation Institute. She has been a frequent speaker at the Workers’ Compensation Institute and the Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Deskbook Seminars, including topics such as Medicare, permanent partial disability, settlements, and intervention interests. She also co-authored chapters for the Deskbook. She has been a speaker at the Workers’ Compensation Symposium and at the Department of Labor & Industry’s Workers’ Compensation Summits. In addition, she has written for The Defense magazine.

Honors and Awards

She has been listed for a number of years in the Minnesota Journal of Law and Politics as a “Super Lawyer” and before that as a “Rising Star.” She was listed in the “Top 40” workers’ compensation attorneys in the Minnesota Journal of Law and Politics.

Professional Associations/Memberships

For a number of years, Ms. Feenstra was the co-chair of the Workers’ Compensation Committee of the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association as well as a member of the MDLA. She is also a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, American Bar Association and Hennepin County Bar Association.
