Our attorneys are regarded by clients, opposing counsel and judges alike, as among the most well-prepared in the business. Our attorneys have superior trial skills and a unique knowledge and insight into the human element of the workers’ compensation bench and bar. Our attorneys are familiar with the predilections, skills and weaknesses of both judges and opposing counsel in workers’ compensation matters. We can thus bring to bear, in the evaluation of a client’s case, a familiarity and understanding of these, often decisive, human variables. We have an experienced and professional support staff of legal secretaries and paralegals trained to thoroughly investigate and prepare our clients’ cases for trial.

History
The law firm of Heacox, Hartman, Koshmrl, Cosgriff, Johnson, Lane & Feenstra, P.A. was formed on May 1, 1996. The founding shareholders each left highly successful practices with established Twin Cities law firms to embark on the bold task of creating a new law firm of unsurpassed excellence. We do not take our clients’ loyalty for granted.
It was our belief that a smaller, highly specialized firm of experienced workers’ compensation defense attorneys would be better able to meet the challenges of providing cost effective legal services of exceptional quality to clients in the business, public sector and insurance community. With the assistance of experienced professional support staff and the latest computer and communications technology, our goal was, and is, to become Minnesota’s preeminent law firm practicing in the area of workers’ compensation defense.
Since 1996, we have added ten partners to the ranks. Currently we have seven associates, all of whom specialize in the defense of workers’ compensation claims.
